Terms of service

The rules of the road for using Gochu what you can do, what we promise, and what happens if things go sideways.

The agreement

By creating an account, downloading the app, or using gochu.ai (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms") with SkyLabs LLC ("Gochu", "we", "us"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 17 years old to use Gochu.
  • You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract in your country.
  • You must not be barred from using the Service under applicable law (e.g. sanctioned country, prior ban).

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorised access. You may only create one account per person; multi-accounting to evade limits or bans is a breach of these Terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
  • Attempt to generate sexual content involving minors, real public figures, or non-consenting individuals.
  • Attempt to bypass safety filters, reverse-engineer the Service, or extract our models.
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) without our written consent.
  • Resell or commercialise the Service or its outputs without a license.
  • Use the Service for activities that are illegal where you live.

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules with or without notice, depending on severity.

Content & AI characters

AI characters are fictional. Any resemblance to real people is coincidental. AI outputs are generated by software and may be inaccurate, inconsistent, or surprising they are not professional advice (medical, legal, financial, mental-health, or otherwise).

You retain ownership of the messages you write. By submitting content, you grant Gochu a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, transmit, and display it for the purpose of operating the Service. We may use de-identified, aggregated data to improve the Service.

Subscriptions & billing

  • Free tier limited daily messages, full access to the character library.
  • Subscription weekly, monthly, or yearly. Unlocks unlimited messages, voice notes, priority access.
  • Billing handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. Charges appear on your Apple ID / Google account.
  • Auto-renewal subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Manage from your Apple ID or Google Play settings.
  • Free trial the first 7 days of a new subscription are free; the trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the end of the trial.
  • Refunds handled per Apple / Google policy. Contact hello@gochu.ai for exceptional cases.

Intellectual property

Gochu and everything in it the brand, the characters, the design, the code belong to SkyLabs LLC or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any of it without permission, except as expressly allowed by these Terms or applicable law.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

AI outputs are not human advice. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional. Gochu is not a substitute for therapy, medical care, or human relationships.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gochu's total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) €100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits; in that case the limits apply only to the extent permitted.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time at gochu.ai/delete-account. We can suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, or to comply with law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance via in-app notice and email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Wyoming, United States, unless mandatory law in your country of residence (e.g. EU consumer protection) provides otherwise.

EU consumers can use the Online Dispute Resolution platform provided by the European Commission.
